Grant Title: Child Advocacy Center Program Competitive (2010)

Description: This competitive funding announcement seeks applicants that provide, or have the ability to provide, child advocacy services in Brown, Chippewa, Racine and/or Walworth Counties.  Funds are available for education, training, medical advice and quality assurance activities.

Important Dates: The deadline to apply is November 17, 2009.  The project period for these funds is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.

Anticipated Funding Amount: A total of $75,684 is available with a maximum award of $18,921 available for each county.  An interim review of projects will be held prior to the end of the project period.  Upon successful completion of the interim review, a project will receive a second year of funding in the same amount.

Match/Cost Sharing Requirement: None.

Eligibility: Agencies providing, or able to provide, child advocacy center services in Brown, Chippewa, Racine and/or Walworth Counties are eligible to apply.  This is a competitive grant opportunity.

Eligible Expenses: Funds may be used for personnel and fringe benefits, travel and training, contractual and consultants, equipment and supplies. Federal funds must be used to supplement existing funds for program activities and may not replace (supplant) non-federal funds that have been appropriated for the same purpose. Potential supplanting will be the subject of monitoring and audit.  Violations can result in a range of penalties, including suspension of future funds under this program, suspension of debarment from Federal grants, recoupment of monies provided under this grant, and civil and/or criminal penalties.
