Data on drug arrests are collected as part of OJA's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program and are based upon figures submitted by law enforcement agencies across Wisconsin. This report summarizes information on drug-related arrests made by nearly 370 law enforcement agencies contributing to OJA’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program in 2002. Findings for the 2002 report include a 1.5% increase in total drug-related arrests from 2001. Arrests for sale offenses increased by 18.3% in 2002, while arrests for possession offenses decreased by 2.8%. Drug-related arrests of adults increased 3.6%, while drug-related arrests for juveniles decreased by 5.3%.

Arrests for sale offenses increased by 1.1% in 2001, while arrests for possession offenses increased by 2.4%. Drug-related arrests of adults increased 1.6%, while drug-related arrests for juveniles increased by 4.0%.
