The Office of Justice Assistance has made it easier for citizens to track how investments of federal and state funds are helping to build safer communities throughout Wisconsin. Lists of OJA grant recipients, the amount awarded and a description of the funded project are now posted on OJA's new "Grants Awarded" page.
Making grant award information available is one of many steps that OJA takes to ensure fiscal transparency and accountability. Grant opportunities are announced on the OJA homepage and all applicants are required to submit an application through Egrants, an online grants management system. After a thorough review of the grant application, award documents are sent to the recipient. A list of these grant recipients and a description of funded projects will now be posted online.
OJA has also added an Email Alerts feature to enhance outreach and communication. Individuals interested in receiving an Email Alert from OJA when funding, new reports and important justice policy updates become available can register online.
