The Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) is home to Wisconsin’s crime and arrest data and provides a wide-range of statistical analysis to law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and policy-makers across the state and nation.
Each year, we receive comprehensive reports from hundreds of law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin. After careful examination to ensure the accuracy of statewide crime data, we produce a variety of publications, including the annual crime and arrest report and sexual assaults, drug arrests and jail population reports - and even statewide maps of crime rates, county by county.
Through careful analysis and extensive reports, our work helps policy-makers, community leaders and law enforcement agencies understand criminal activity and develop better prevention and enforcement policies and techniques.
We hope that this site is helpful to law enforcement agencies, researchers, prosecutors, policy-makers or any citizen looking for a better understanding of crime and arrests in Wisconsin. We have over 35 years of annual reports under ‘Crime and Arrests’ and explanations of the Uniform Crime Reporting System as well as the new Incident-Based Report System in Wisconsin (WIBRS).
