In 2005, the National Governors' Association awarded a Technical Assistance Grant to WIJIS to develop a reference document for exchanging conditions of an offender's probation or parole. Current procedures require many iterative communications before the information reaches an officer on the street. With timely access to these conditions, officers will be able to make more informed decisions on how to deal with these offenders, and track down and arrest violators.
